His name is
Atu...and he's been a vampire general,
longer than Haley's Comet has been scaring End-of-Worlder's this side of the Atlantic...and he is cold, determined, and dedicated.
Mission...interpret the old scrolls Hekate commanded HER vampire's to unravel and then find...and locate...
the powerful orb before the True Ones controlled by the evil
Montague locates it...and have the power to destroy everything.
BUT...vampires eschew fire...so after kidnapping the psychic
Edeline takes them to....THIS....
...what's a non-flame-retardant vamp to do?
How about come here...and dish?
LIN: Welcome Atu. Thank you for stopping by and telling us a bit about yourself and your role as HERO in Book Two of the Hekate's Web Series; SEEKER by Kat Holmes.
ATU: Thank's for inviting me, Lin. I've been hoping you'd give me a chance to pop over and correct some crazy rumors buzzing around out there about me.
LIN: I've read SEEKER, Atu, and I have to tell you, some of what you did...impressed me...some made me want to smack you into the twenty-eighth century and back.
ATU: {shrugging} I get that a lot. Since you've read SEEKER, which is an accurate report of my adventure with Hekate's scroll and the scarier than hell orb I had to find, you know WHY I had to act like a class A jerk!
LIN: Actually, I still don't get why you were such a prick with poor Edeline Comstock.
ATU: Hey...we're talking life and death here. It's not like
Hekate would have been kind to me if I hadn't done whatever was needed to get the job done.
LIN: {shaking her head.}You didn't give Edeline a chance to help you without treating her with scorn, and yeah, cruelty.
ATU: Okay, okay. I realize it's HARD for you HUMANS to understand those of us who work below your radar to SAVE us all from things YOU'D never be able to take on, but we can't always play by the etiquette rules proposed by the likes of YOUR Miss Manners!
LIN: I can understand you had to do what needed to be done, but you didn't give Edeline a chance to offer her help without coercion. You ran roughshod right over her..."
ATU: Have you ever challenged anyone as powerful or determined as
Hekate? When that goddess tells you to jump you don't ask 'how high?' You flip on your bad-assed "overdrive" switch and get the job done.
LIN: Without Edeline, you'd never have been able to unravel the clues in the scroll, right?
ATU: {nodding} That's true. Edeline DID prove to be amazingly...gifted.
LIN: And she's also the reason you ended up...
here....right? Not a comfortable place for a vampire who's NOT flame-retardant. Did you think maybe she was dragging you here, to the cave of flame and...worse, to get back at you and AWAY from you?
ATU: Are you suggesting maybe she was leading me into MY premature death? {His eyes narrowed, he lifted one hand, bracing his chin.} Hmmm. I hadn't thought about that. But no...I really don't think so. By the time we ended up in this cavern, Edeline and I had found...peace.
LIN: Are you sure? You weren't exactly acting like a hero towards her...not even then.
ATU: {He frowned...not liking the way his thoughts seemed to be going.} Again...remember
HEKATE...She may LOOK stunningly beautful to the naked eye...but when that goddess orders you to act, you act! But...hmmm...a trap. I think I'm going to have to reread
SEEKER and see just exactly what Ms. Holmes wrote.
LIN: {smiling} Well I can assure you, you won't regret reading SEEKER. I know you LIVED...sort of...what Kat Holmes reported in this book, but it's never a wrong thing to refresh your memories and see little or not so little things you might have forgotten in the...uhhh heat of the moment.
ATU: You may have a point. So how do I get my hands on a copy of SEEKER?
LIN: That's easy...click on the link below...
SEEKER is available at MUSE IT HOT PUBLISHING
And to refresh your memory...just a tad...here's the Back Cover
Back Cover
Atu is an ancient warrior and vampire long in the service of his king. He has no desire for home or family. But when the Goddess Hekate tasks him with finding an ancient artefact before his enemies do, he is forced to enlist the aid of a woman who drives him crazy.
Edeline Comstock has the sight and has been cursed and reviled for it by her family. When she finds herself under attack from a monster, a dark and dangerous man is her only salvation, or he might be her destruction.
Forced to aid Atu, time is running out to uncover the secrets of the past. But a far greater danger stalks Edeline, one from which there may be no return.
and then to further wet your...fangs...here's a little excerpt.
Excerpt
The face that stared back at her was wan and haggard. How she hated days like this. The past couple of weeks had been rougher than usual and the stress and strain just added to her already existing problems. God, she was sick of problems.
Edeline Comstock was tired. And what was worse, she knew already, as she always did, that her day wasn't nearly over. Nope, like it or not, she’d call. That damn news article had seen to that. There’d be no avoiding Stephanie’s ranting rage even though Edeline really wasn't up for it.
At least she no longer lived with the bitch. Once she’d turned eighteen she’d inherited her mother’s fortune. She hadn't even waited till her father and stepmother returned from Europe before she rented a townhouse. She’d packed her things and left her brother and sister in the care of their nanny without a second thought. Wyatt and Courtney didn't like her any more than her stepmother did thanks to Stephanie’s so-called nurturing over the years.
Freaky, weird, scarecrow, beanpole. She’d heard all those insults and many others over the years. Her stepmother created a few more choice insults to call her when the words everyone used failed to fully express the total scope of Stephanie’s hatred. It didn't help that as her father climbed the political ladder, he withdrew more and more from any role in Edeline’s upbringing, allowing Stephanie unhampered control over her.
ATU: I'm on my way...thanks Lin...after I've re-read SEEKER maybe you'll let me pop back in for a follow-up?LIN: Absolutely. You have an open invitation, any time.
ATU: Till next time then.
Well...I think the vampire word is about to become fans of Kat Holmes' HEKATE'S WEB SERIES...
Book One...HIDDEN
and yep, Book Two...SEEKER
with Book Three...coming.

He doesn't seem too unreasonable - at least, not compared to Smith's level of batcrap crazy. ;-)
Oh my! He's one vampire I rather have with me than against me. What a wonderful introduction and interview Lin. ATU says it straight, as he sees it. Kat is one crazy fired-up writer. This book looks sooooooooo good.
He sounds as if he knows when he can give it some attitude and when to bow down and obey his goddess.
