CYRUS KEITH...SCI-FI Author Extraordinaire...and a Gorgeous Patrick Stewart...AKA Captain Picard Clone

I was not a fan of the original Star Trek...William Shatner just didn't make my blood do a pitty pat...I found Leonard Nimoy with his cute pointy ears and amazing logic much more seductive.

BUT Patrick Stewart? (Is it HOT in here?) Patrick Stewart in his role of Captain Jean Luc Picard....WHEW!!!

Okay...so why am I bringing all that up?

Because Muse It Up Publishing has a Jean Luc clone in the guise of CYRUS KEITH...but it gets better...

Cyrus is an author of some of the BEST sci-fi available today. He's the author of the four part NADIA PROJECT SERIES.

WOW!!!
Becoming_NADIA_4c74365072379.jpg

But from the moment she meets FBI agent Jon Daniels, all hell breaks loose. Friends turn into deadly enemies overnight, and no one can be truly trusted.
When Jon and Nadia investigate further, they discover the living terror that is the truth behind Nadia's existence, a truth that could mean the death of millions.
This is an absolute PAGE-TURNER. If you follow the link above and purchase the print book from Muse It Up Publishing directly, you'll also get the e-book FREE!

Jenna Paine...She's not like Nadia...
Blurb:
In the second installment of The NADIA Project, the potential stakes are raised even higher. The lab where Nadia was built is no more. But when The Pinnacle strikes back at the government agencies trying to crack its secrets, a horrible truth emerges: The evil cabal of kingmakers is still building living weapons of mass destruction somewhere on the globe.
Jon Daniels and Nadia Velasquez must find the lab and stop it before a new wave of terror erupts across the world. In order to succeed, though, they must get through The Pinnacle's most deadly weapon: Jenna Paine.
All who stand between evil and the innocent are two ancient warriors, a misfit genius, a rogue FBI agent, and a living antimatter bomb named NADIA
...or is she?

CRITICAL MASS...is this the end of the complex Nadia Project?
Back Cover

Jenna Paine is a super spy, genetically enhanced to be more than human. Nadia Velasquez is a living weapon of mass destruction. When the secret organization who built them both decides they are no longer useful, two enemies are thrown together for the only purposes they could have in common: survival and revenge.
There's only one way out of The Pinnacle, and that's on a coroner's slab. Jenna lives through a treacherous attack vowing to exact her vengeance on the people who trained her to be the most deadly agent on the planet.
Wounded and on the run, she turns to the man who's sworn to make her face charges for her involvement in The Pinnacle's nefarious schemes.
After years spent hiding from The Pinnacle, Nadia runs into the one thing she never counted on: Shelf life. As her body breaks down, she realizes it's only a matter of the short time she has left to redeem her existence and give her daughter a chance to live free.
In the final showdown, the two transhumans join forces against a common enemy, and The Pinnacle come to know the deadly significance of…
Critical Mass
Maybe...maybe not.

Jenna Paine...we first get to know her in UNALIVE...but what possessed her to become...unalive...part of the Nadia Project?

Could she have traveled a different path?

In college, she meets a group of people who introduce her to a new vision for world peace, and a way to realize it.

HE'S ATU...AND HE'S ONE SCARY DUDE...ATU from SEEKER, Book 2 in HEKATE'S WEB series by KAT HOLMES

His name is

 Atu...and he's been a vampire general,

longer than Haley's Comet has been scaring End-of-Worlder's this side of the Atlantic...and he is cold, determined, and dedicated.

Mission...interpret the old scrolls Hekate commanded HER vampire's to unravel and then find...and locate...

the powerful orb before the True Ones controlled by the evil

Montague locates it...and have the power to destroy everything.

BUT...vampires eschew fire...so after kidnapping the psychic

Edeline takes them to....THIS....

...what's a non-flame-retardant vamp  to do?

How about come here...and dish?

LIN: Welcome Atu. Thank you for stopping by and telling us a bit about yourself and your role as HERO in Book Two of the Hekate's Web Series; SEEKER by Kat Holmes.
ATU: Thank's for inviting me, Lin. I've been hoping you'd give me a chance to pop over and correct some crazy rumors buzzing around out there about me.

LIN: I've read SEEKER, Atu, and I have to tell you, some of what you did...impressed me...some made me want to smack you into the twenty-eighth century and back.
ATU: {shrugging} I get that a lot. Since you've read SEEKER, which is an accurate report of my adventure with Hekate's scroll and the scarier than hell orb I had to find, you know WHY I had to act like a class A jerk!
LIN: Actually, I still don't get why you were such a prick with poor Edeline Comstock.
ATU: Hey...we're talking life and death here. It's not like

Hekate would have been kind to me if I hadn't done whatever was needed to get the job done.
LIN: {shaking her head.}You didn't give Edeline a chance to help you without treating her with scorn, and yeah, cruelty.
ATU: Okay, okay. I realize it's HARD for you HUMANS to understand those of us who work below your radar to SAVE us all from things YOU'D never be able to take on, but we can't always play by the etiquette rules proposed by the likes of YOUR Miss Manners!
LIN: I can understand you had to do what needed to be done, but you didn't give Edeline a chance to offer her help without coercion. You ran roughshod right over her..."
ATU: Have you ever challenged anyone as powerful or determined as

Hekate? When that goddess tells you to jump you don't ask 'how high?' You flip on your bad-assed "overdrive" switch and get the job done.
LIN: Without Edeline, you'd never have been able to unravel the clues in the scroll, right?
ATU: {nodding} That's true. Edeline DID prove to be amazingly...gifted.
LIN: And she's also the reason you ended up...

here....right? Not a comfortable place for a vampire who's NOT flame-retardant. Did you think maybe she was dragging you here, to the cave of flame and...worse, to get back at you and AWAY from you?
ATU:  Are you suggesting maybe she was leading me into MY premature death? {His eyes narrowed, he lifted one hand, bracing his chin.} Hmmm. I hadn't thought about that. But no...I really don't think so. By the time we ended up in this cavern, Edeline and I had found...peace.
LIN: Are you sure? You weren't exactly acting like a hero towards her...not even then.
ATU: {He frowned...not liking the way his thoughts seemed to be going.} Again...remember

HEKATE...She may LOOK stunningly beautful to the naked eye...but when that goddess orders you to act, you act! But...hmmm...a trap. I think I'm going to have to reread

SEEKER and see just exactly what Ms. Holmes wrote.
LIN: {smiling} Well I can assure you, you won't regret reading SEEKER. I know you LIVED...sort of...what Kat Holmes reported in this book, but it's never a wrong thing to refresh your memories and see little or not so little things you might have forgotten in the...uhhh heat of the moment.
ATU: You may have a point. So how do I get my hands on a copy of SEEKER?

LIN: That's easy...click on the link below...

SEEKER is available at MUSE IT HOT PUBLISHING

And to refresh your memory...just a tad...here's the Back Cover
Back Cover
Atu is an ancient warrior and vampire long in the service of his king. He has no desire for home or family. But when the Goddess Hekate tasks him with finding an ancient artefact before his enemies do, he is forced to enlist the aid of a woman who drives him crazy.
Edeline Comstock has the sight and has been cursed and reviled for it by her family. When she finds herself under attack from a monster, a dark and dangerous man is her only salvation, or he might be her destruction.
Forced to aid Atu, time is running out to uncover the secrets of the past. But a far greater danger stalks Edeline, one from which there may be no return.
and then to further wet your...fangs...here's a little excerpt.

Excerpt
The face that stared back at her was wan and haggard. How she hated days like this. The past couple of weeks had been rougher than usual and the stress and strain just added to her already existing problems. God, she was sick of problems.
Edeline Comstock was tired. And what was worse, she knew already, as she always did, that her day wasn't nearly over. Nope, like it or not, she’d call. That damn news article had seen to that. There’d be no avoiding Stephanie’s ranting rage even though Edeline really wasn't up for it.
At least she no longer lived with the bitch. Once she’d turned eighteen she’d inherited her mother’s fortune. She hadn't even waited till her father and stepmother returned from Europe before she rented a townhouse. She’d packed her things and left her brother and sister in the care of their nanny without a second thought. Wyatt and Courtney didn't like her any more than her stepmother did thanks to Stephanie’s so-called nurturing over the years.
Freaky, weird, scarecrow, beanpole. She’d heard all those insults and many others over the years. Her stepmother created a few more choice insults to call her when the words everyone used failed to fully express the total scope of Stephanie’s hatred. It didn't help that as her father climbed the political ladder, he withdrew more and more from any role in Edeline’s upbringing, allowing Stephanie unhampered control over her.
ATU: I'm on my way...thanks Lin...after I've re-read SEEKER maybe you'll let me pop back in for a follow-up?
LIN: Absolutely. You have an open invitation, any time.
ATU: Till next time then.

Well...I think the vampire word is about to become fans of Kat Holmes' HEKATE'S WEB SERIES...

Book One...HIDDEN

and yep, Book Two...SEEKER

with Book Three...coming.

TODAY'S CREME....MULTI-PUBLISHED AUTHOR KEVIN HOPSON

Welcome to the

FIRST of the

Ladybug Lin Parade of

Creme de la Creme...Or Muse Authors, Most EXCELLENT!

Now to give you an idea of the quality of author the Ladybug is showcasing...here's the criteria:

Gene Rodenberry created the STAR TREK franchise. It's true he was NOT a book writer...but a writer is a writer is a writer. His ability to create a cohesive, well researched story in the limited time and space allowed by a one hour television script describes genius...SO Ladybug Lin is on the lookout for authors who can emulate Rodenberryesque story telling talent...no matter WHAT genre the author writes in...SO shall we get started?

The very FIRST of TODAY'S Creme de la Creme authors at the Muse Hall of Superlative Storytelling Skills is....

BIG DRUM-ROLL PLEASE

KEVIN HOPSON

Kevin Hopson writes SHORT stories, and because of that, he has a limited amount of time and space to create the angst needed for his stories to impact US, his audience...Just like Mr. Rodenberry, Kevin Hopson knows his topics, expands on his field of interests, and is coming through magnificently with each of his books so far.

Let me elaborate...On November 1, 2010 Kevin Hopson's first Muse It Up Book WORLD OF ASH released...

...It's a short story this Ladybug Lin read shortly after it debuted. I wasn't sure I'd like it since the cover was enough to scare the bejeeburs out of me, and scary is not my usual forté...but I discovered I really LIKES the way Kevin Hopson can scare me silly.

Ladybug Lin, as you can see by the award THE WORLD OF ASH won right out of the gate, is not the only one who's found this book a winner, and Kevin Hopson an author to stand up and take notice of.
Blurb:
Jax has always succumbed to his boss’ wishes in an effort to please him. When he is asked to journey to the town of Tellare with a volcanic ash cloud standing in his way, Jax realizes the dangers, but he accepts the job anyway. He even brings along his friend Stu as company. However, Jax starts to regret his decision when Stu puts up resistance and conditions continue to worsen. What awaits them inside the ash cloud, and will Stu prove to be a liability when push comes to shove?
Sounds good doesn't it? But we're just beginning.

Kevin Hopson is not a man to sit back on his heels and let his laurels rest...oh no...he immediately jumped in, wrote and released his SECOND blockbuster short in less time than most people would take to enjoy the accolades from that impressive award.

EARTHLY FORCES...now I have to admit, I was drawn to this book at first by its cover. Having grown up in an area where lighthouses are part of the backdrop for my childhood playground, I naturally have a fondness for them.

Although...the ones I remember never looked quite this scary. That may be because I never saw them in the throes of an angry story with clouds that looked like they had eyes peering down at me. (I know...probably my imagination in overdrive...but Kevin inspires such imaginings. )
Blurb:
Ken is a middle-aged fisherman who has captained the Sea Mac for more years than he can count. He has experienced heavy weather, rough seas and even death. However, nothing has prepared him for what he is about to endure on the island of Eilean Boghdoiri. His friend Paul, also the island’s lighthouse keeper, has gone missing. Ken and his deckhand Jimmie set out in search of him, only to discover things are far more complicated than initially thought. As they race to unlock the mystery, Ken and Jimmie find themselves fighting to stay alive. Will Paul ever be found, and, if so, can they make it off the island in time?
EARTHLY FORCES is a winner. Short, scary, and one you will keep on your e-reader to pull up and read again and again...oh, and definitely, again...whenever you want to have something to counter the howl of the wind outside and the flickering of the lights within.

The title of this next KEVIN HOPSON classic made me laugh when I first saw it. The TITLE is just...alive with humor...

...the cover? Well...from it I had a feeling this was NOOOOO comedy...but then...it's a KEVIN HOPSON...how COULD it be a comedy? That would be like going to see Robin Williams live and expecting him to pull out a knife and start slashing the theater up...there're just some things you know not to expect...and a COMEDY from the masterful brain of Kevin Hopson's scary muse? NO WAY!

EARLY RELEASE FOR BAD BEHAVIOR...with hypodermic needles on the cover?...this was not going to be a joyride...One of the things I most love about the fabulously gifted Kevin Hopson is I can count on him to always deliver spine tingles. I KNOW he's going to scare me into a whole bunch of new white hairs atop my head, and make my toe flesh shrivel more than a long soak in any bathtub ever could.
Blurb:
Someone is illegally moving death row inmates between prisons, and one prisoner finds out firsthand what the perpetrator wants with them.
The cover doesn't EXACTLY show it but this DOES take place in a prison...That's the ONLY guarantee. Kevin Hopson, we're now discovering, loves creating SURPRISE endings...and he's so blood curdlingly GOOD at it!

There isn't ANY topic Kevin Hopson won't explore. His next book...
alt
...with a cover so breath cripplingly powerful it had me staring at it for quite some time before I could bring myself to read the book, sizzles. Having been in a fire, I give that element a great deal of respect. I also know Kevin Hopson writing about it is going to take me into singed layers of my soul I'm going to have to do more than shake 'n' bake my way through.
Back Cover

Max and Lorenzo are strangers who have crossed paths under the most dire of circumstances – the need to survive. With the earth nothing more than a wasteland and solar radiation a constant threat, the two of them set out for a place called Hope Cavern, an underground city where people have taken refuge. Making the journey north, however, they realize there is a price to pay for companionship.

EARTH ABLAZE This is a post apocalyptic story...but in the deft hands of a master. How so much can be expressed in such a condensed grouping of words...truly shows how great a master Kevin Hopson is.

This next book I read not long after all those miners in South America were rescued. The world celebrated that success, so I wasn't certain I wanted to read a horror story with a similar core theme...but once you get addicted to Kevin Hopson, you really know you're going to read it no matter what.
alt
THREE MILES BELOW. You SOOOO want the happy ending, and you read along with your heart in your throat...but remember what I said about Kevin and his SURPRISE ENDINGS?
Back Cover:
When an earthquake hits, Mackenzie and two of his co-workers are forced to take shelter in a refuge chamber three miles below ground, uncertain of the damage around and above them. Weighing their options, the three must decide whether to stay put or take their chances climbing to the surface, though making it to ground level is just half of the battle.
He delivers!

In fact...here we are at the beginning of 2014 and here's FIVE short thrillers that would have made Alfred Hitchcock happy had HE written him...YEP they really ARE that good...but Kevin Hopson is JUST beginning.

FIVE in three years...Can't wait for the next three years and then the three after that...oh and I JUST learned he DOES have one coming out in less than THREE months! How lucky are we?
Photo: I left Facebook for a week (temporarily deactivated my account) so I could focus on writing for a bit. I finished the sci-fi novelette I was working on, so I'm back for the time being. Anyway, I didn't want people to think I was blocking them or dropping them from my friends list. Also, I'd like to share my book cover for Broken Family, a crime fiction story that will be released by MuseItUp Publishing on March 28.
Take a look at this cover....Be still my palpitating heart...March...you only have to wait until March...sorry WE only have to wait until March...

KEVIN HOPSON...remember that name...and follow the links above to his books and become a Hopson addict like me Ladybug Lin.

This is Ladybug Lin, thanking you for checking out my first Creme de la Creme. Who will be the second author to make my Creme? You'll have to check back, and often.

THE DIPPY DUO from ECHOES FROM THE PAST

Lin Holmes: Today I have from

ECHOES FROM THE PAST by L.J. Holmes' my author's name and my very first full length epic classic Time Travel novel releasing from Muse It Up Publishing Inc, in May, the unusual pair affectionately, by some, known as The Dippy Duo, individually known as cousins Jed Haskell and Hank Slokum visiting straight from The Holler

Welcome Boys. I was thrilled to hear you were eager to come all the way from your mountain home to spend time with me today and discuss your part in the making of ECHOES FROM THE PAST .

Jed: We've been keeping our eye on you

Miz Holmes, and have to say we were twice pleased when we learned you decided to move closer to us here in the glorious south.

Hank: Yeah, it means we didn't have to hitch our arses quite as far as we mighta if we'da had to come sit a spell with ya up in yankee territory.

Jed: Now Hank, we don't wanna start off this visit offending Miz Holmes. Please excuse my cuz Miz Holmes, Hank wasn't always paying attention in Sunday school when Mis Jezzy Mae Connors was teaching.

Hank: Only cuzz I was batting eyes with Betty Sue Wilkins.

Lin Holmes: No offense taken gentlemen. You're here because you play such vital rolls in ECHOES FROM THE PAST. What did you think of Dr. Kira Firebird and Ahoishmahir the central characters of the story?

Jed: Actually, we never got to meet them.

Hank: Came close there near the waterfall, dontcha think, Jed?

Jed: We was hallucintaing, Hank, and I thought we agreed not to discuss that.

Hank: Oh yeah. I forgot. Bet you didn't know getting stuck on your arse by a massive swarm of bees and then having snapping turtles latch onto those boo boos can cause hallucinations did you?

Jed: Hank!...What part of we agreed not to talk about it didn't you get? I suppose you want me to talk about how you thought you could turn on a wolf by blowing some lame assed wolf call?

Hank: You promised!

Jed: Exactly!

Hank: Geeze. Forget one teensy thing...

Lin Holmes. Wolf Call? Boys are you talking about Boomerang? Dr. Firebird's wolf? Dr. Firbebird's SPIRIT wolf? You DID meet him right?

Hank: Spirit? Wolf? Her wolf is a ghost? Ah geeze! You didn't tell me that Jed!

Jed: How the hell was I to know? We never exactly got close enough to exchange apple pie recipes if you remember.

Lin Holmes: So you didn't mean Boomerang. Let me understand this. You didn't meet Boomerang, you didn't meet Dr. Kira Firebird, you didn't meet Ahoishmahir, did you meet anyone?

Jed: We met The Boss, naturally.

Hank: Boy did we ever! Mean old cuss!

Jed: Yeah, but we knew that going in.

Hank: Knew our arses were fried if we didn't deliver Dr. Firebird and the treasure she was seeking.

Jed: You can say that again.

Hank: Knew our arses were fried...

Jed: You're a fool! Didn't mean for you to actually say it again!

Hank: Then you shouldna said it!

Jed: Yeah you're a fool!

Hank: Am not!

Jed: Am too, but let's move on. We DID meet an angel...we think!

Hank: Yeah thank God! Cured our arses and my nose. See my nose was swollen the size of the Missisppi River, and so big I couldn't see round it.

Lin Holmes: How'd your nose get swollen?

Hank: We had a lot of mishaps befall upon us following Dr. Firebird.

Jed: Boy did we ever. It rained; really, really, rained two nights in a row in the freaking desert. Ever spend the night bare assed and wet in the desert? Not at all comfortable, nor to be believed.

Hank: She asked how I got a busted schnozz. Not how you got frostbit.

Jed: Well excuse me! And need I remind you I wasn't alone in freezing my arse off?

Hank: Yeah, but you were alone in almost getting yer willie snipped off! I told you that tent had jaws!

Jed: You have a death wish don't you cuz?

Hank: Me maw'll kill you if'n you touch one golden strand from me gorgeous head and you know it.

Lin Holmes: Boys, boys, please.

Hank: Sorry, Miz Holmes. You was asking bout me nose. See after the bout with the turtle, I was trying on a pair' a Dr. Firebird's shorts. Got 'em up as far as me knees. Lost me balance and I sorta tipped over. Smashed me nose right inta the ground.

Lin Holmes: <smothering a giggle> The angel?

Jed: Appeared outta nowhere, offered us relief and an exit.

Lin Holmes: I'm assuming you took it.

Hank: The Boss'd kill us.

Lin Holmes: So you didn't?

Jed: The Boss is our cousin. Ain't nowhere we could go and hide he couldn't find us. Our goose'd be good an cooked.

Lin Holmes: Oh Dear!

Jed: Yeah. Oh Dear. Fact is we can't afford to tell you.

Hank: Right, but we also wanted to be part of the hoopla coming now that ECHOES FROM THE PAST is about to rise about yon distant horizon.

Jed: We're dumber than dirt, but we do know how to hide...we hope.

Hank: Yep we sure do.

Lin Holmes: Boys are you certain you want me to post this interview?

Hank: Oh yes Ma'm. If we got to, we can high tail it down Mexico way to a cantina or two we know 'bout till the Boss forgets all 'bout us...

Jed:...or till we become so pickled in tequila we stop caring. Now ya promise us Miz Holmes to share our side of the story. We earned that. The angel assured us we'd be okay...mostly.

Lin Holmes: Okay Boys. I will say it's been interesting meeting you. You stay safe.

For the rest of us.

ECHOES FROM THE PAST is releasing from Muse It Up Publishing Inc, In May but until then you can catch up on some of the antics of the main players by seeing what BOOMERANG has to say, and check out the magnificent TRAILER Suzannah Safi has done.

There will be more interviews coming...one with Dr. Kira Firebird and Ahoishmahir definitely but more as well.
